What to Do with Sock Yarn

When I have left over sock yarn, I add it in mitered squares to my crazy quilt style afghan. When people see me working on it, they either love it or hate it. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground.

I love it.
Particulars:
Needles: Size 5US
Yarn: any wool sock yarn
Accesories: one stitch marker
Pattern: all garter stitch, 20 stitches on each side of stitch marker at the beginning. Knit to 2 sts before the marker, k2tog, knit to end. Repeat until there is one stitch on needle. All additional squares are added and attached by picking up 20 sts along one side of the first square and then casting on or picking up the second set of 20 sts. This link gives detailed instructions if you have never knitted a mitered square before. You can also email me and I'll be happy to provide any help you need.
